If you’re tired of being tired — but rest still feels impossible — this episode is for you.
We’re closing out the Reclaiming Rest series on Juneteenth with something different: not a conversation, but an experience. A guided meditation designed to meet you exactly where you are.

If your nervous system won’t power down...
If your shoulders never seem to drop...
If the idea of rest feels nice, but not safe — this practice offers a gentle way in.

    No need to be perfect.
    No need to impress.
Just small, honest moments of softness, stillness, and nervous system relief.

Because rest isn’t a reward. It’s your birthright.

  • Reimagining Rest: Tiny Moments of Relief - Reclaiming Rest Series pt. 3
    Jun 12 2025
If deep rest feels hard right now, let’s start with what’s possible.

We’ve been taught that rest means shutting down, doing nothing, or waiting for the perfect moment of peace. But for high-functioning women raised in hustle culture, stillness can feel unfamiliar — even impossible.

In this third episode of the Reclaiming Rest series, we challenge everything we’ve been taught about what rest “should” look like.

This isn’t about productivity hacks or setting up perfect rest scenarios. It’s about everyday acts that send gentle signals to your nervous system that it’s safe to pause — even briefly. I’m also sharing my personal struggles with rest and offering real-life ways to create micro-moments of relief that feel doable inside a full life.

Because rest isn’t always about stopping.
Oftentimes, it’s about softening, one small choice at a time.
Let's begin to remimagine what rest in the real world can feel and look like.
