It's Summertime! It's that time of year when the pool is open, people are going to the beach, enjoying the outdoors, bar-b-ques are cooking, and everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time.

Phil, Joe, and Jay start out with some discussion on the month of June and the beginning of summer. They also start up a discussion on the recent US Treasury's decision to discontinue the penny, They reminisce how they used the penny back in the day, collected them, have little use for them today, and how we are moving into a cashless society. What are your thoughts?

Joe and Lynn Bartolo hosted a cocktail party for some friends who own Timeshares. They discussed why they decided on this purchase, where they are located, and their enjoyment. But they also discuss the maintenance fees, periodic re-assessments, and their exit strategy for some point in the future. Would they do it again? Take a listen and find out from their experiences.

Phil recently took a drive up to the Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, NJ and met with Gina Sampaio, the Director of this organization.

If you have never been to this historic site, you may recognize it from photos as it is presented with the large red barn like structure with a water wheel, overlooking a river and waterfall. It’s an iconic photo seen on calendars and marketing and promotion material for the state of New Jersey.

The Red Mill Village is an historic complex centered around this mill from 1810 and situated on 10 acres of land of various historic buildings and exhibits. Clinton NJ is a quant town of shops, restaurants, activities all four seasons and is always listed in the top small towns to visit within NJ. You can find more detailed information on their website TheRedMill.org and to help plan your visit. Check this website for upcoming events since the dates and times often change.

Gina took some time out of her busy day to provide Phil with a walking tour, not only of the Red Mill but of the many other buildings, as well as explaining the many events held there throughout the year. It’s definitely a destination for you individually or as a group.
