  • 446. Gen V, Season 2 REVIEW (SPOILERS)
    Dec 4 2025

WARNING: Do not listen to this episode unless you have seen season two of the Amazon Prime series "Gen V" or do not mind hearing key plot points.

The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, recently completed its second season. For continuity, it takes place after the events of season four of The Boys. After season one, actor Chance Perdomo died tragically in a horrible motorcycle accident. From the beginning of season two, the storyline incorporated the death of Perdomo's character, Andre, in a uniquely and creatively compelling way. The storyline seems wrapped up and sets up the final season of the Boys, coming soon.

The plot of season two is loosely based on the comic book story arc "We Gotta Go Now" by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins.

Luke Spear of WBZ Radio in Boston joined the show to review Gen V season two. In this episode, Spear discusses comparisons between the show and the original source material, the Boys franchise, and how Gen V enhanced it all.

    Nov 26 2025

WARNING: Do not listen to this episode unless you have seen both seasons of the Netflix series "Wednesday" or do not mind hearing key plot points.

Wednesday is a spin-off of the Addams Family franchise. It stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams. The original Addams Family aired from 1964 to 1966 and was based on a comic strip by creator Charles Addams. Two feature films based on the Addams Family were released in 1991 and 1993. Two animated features were released in 2019 and 2021. Director Tim Burton directs select episodes. The show is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who also served as showrunners of the hit series Smallville. They also wrote the Marvel feature Spider-Man 2 in 2004.

Ralph Garman, who hosts the daily podcast The Ralph Report and is an actor/voice actor, returns to the show to review Wednesday. For 20 years, Ralph was a featured announcer on KROQ.

In this episode, Ralph discusses his affinity for the Addams Family source material. They also address the connections Wednesday has with Smallville. The praise various cast members and discuss casting options. Ralph also notes that while Wednesday is rooted in Addams Family lore, it is an original story that takes the characters in directions never seen in the comic strip, TV show, or films.
