  • In this episode, were off to a historic wine estate, nestled in a beautiful part of the world. Groot Constantia is an important part of World Wine Heritage and a world-class international tourism destination, capturing the rich and diverse heritage of South Africa, to deliver a unique cultural, social and historical experience, to locals and tourists alike. The estate is South Africa’s oldest wine producing farm dating back to 1685 and is an iconic example of the preservation of South African culture and heritage in the wine industry.

    Ross Anderson is joined by Floricius (Flo) Beukes, a man who wears many hats, but his current role at Groot Constantia see him managing the vineyards as well as fulfilling the role of Chief Viticulturist at this historic estate.

    Groot Constantia has been a regular participant in the Global Fine Wine Challenge – since inception of the Challenge in 2003, representing the top 120 wines produced in South Africa and going up against the finest wines from the other New World Participating Nations.
