Friendships are common to all people. The gospel makes it possible for us to be the friends of Christ, and it transforms our friendships into relationships that reflect his love in us. Friends in Christ walk with and help each other become more like him. What a friend we have in Jesus, and what friends we are in him.

Proverbs provides a vision of family life that focuses on parents passing on God’s wisdom to children. This vision for the family is for Christians and for congregations. By honoring this vision we can show the goodness of God’s wisdom and give witness to his grace in the world.
