About this listen
At Good Times - Classic Wrestling Reviews, we cracked open the beautiful dumpster fire that was 1997 ECW November to Remember: Sabu vs The Sandman—a match that felt less like professional wrestling and more like two lunatics settling a bar tab with household furniture. Sabu flew around the ring like gravity owed him money, launching himself into danger with the decision-making skills of a man who thinks “hospital bill” is a personality trait. Meanwhile, The Sandman stomped in looking like the guy who got kicked out of three taverns before bell time, swinging his cane like he was trying to discipline the entire front row. Chairs bent, bodies crashed, and the laws of workplace safety filed for divorce. It was violent, chaotic, gloriously stupid, and exactly why ECW still lives rent-free in the minds of wrestling fans who believe blood loss is a valid star rating system.
