Golden Valley was the last team from the Foothill League standing in the CIF Southern Section playoffs. The Grizzlies lost to Laguna Hills in the Division 7 championship game.

Golden Valley knocked off Mayfair in the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 7 playoffs and will play for its first football championship in school history.

Hart upset Valencia on a last-second touchdown. West Ranch capped an undefeated season by downing Castaic. Saugus overwhelmed Canyon on the road.
