  • EP #72 : The Nashville Bachelorette That Ended My Wedding: Katie Finally Speaks
    Dec 4 2025

In this episode, Katie finally lifts the curtain on the story she’s been hinting at since day one – the trip that blew up her old life and accidentally birthed Girls In Low Places. Joined by her US BFF Sam who organised the doomed trip, she rewinds to her engagement, a countryside life, and a bachelorette weekend that cracked everything wide open.

They piece together the hangovers, the panic, the gut feelings and the “I can’t do this” moment that followed, talking honestly about friendship, grief, and what it really costs to choose yourself. This is the messy origin story behind the podcast, told for the first time.

  • We May Never Recover from the CMA Red Carpet: THE NASHVILLE DEBRIEF
    Nov 27 2025

Girls in Low Places take Nashville and the CMA Awards, and honestly… we may never recover. In this episode, Katie and Ozzy debrief the most chaotic, magical week of their lives – from anxiety sobs in hotel lifts to accidentally starting a speakeasy on the CMA red carpet. Katie arrives in town early with OG videographer Rodney, hits the emotional Drake White benefit (and hides from Riley Green all night), sneaks into a Tucker Wetmore pop-up without Ozzy, and tries to survive a whirlwind of meetings, backstage moments and big-label visits once Ozzy finally lands after a flight-from-hell delay.

The girls share what it was really like backstage at the Opry, walking into the same spaces they’d only ever seen on the TV show Nashville, and trying to balance being “media” with just wanting to be fans who get drunk on Broadway and shake their tail feathers. Then it’s full chaos mode: a blow-dry courtesy of Team Tucker Wetmore, a podcast recording at Bobby Bones’ insane house, getting changed for the CMAs in his bathroom, a corset emergency, security helping with undone dresses, and panic-spiralling about the red carpet. On the carpet itself, they’re placed next to the Washington Post, juggle overexcited PRs, sprint after artists, accidentally cut off LeAnn Rimes to chase Tucker, fall on the floor screaming when he calls them his favourite interview, and melt down over seeing friends of the pod like Priscilla Block, Kaitlin Butts and more in their full CMA moment.

They also talk honestly about imposter syndrome, the pressure of “being industry” versus just loving country music as fans, how emotional it is to see artists they’ve championed level up, and what it meant to go from watching the CMAs on a sofa in the UK last year to sitting in the room this year. Plus: Dustin Lynch shots, Rodney’s secret bar buddies, why the Union Jack dress was the best decision ever, why more UK fans should join the CMA, and a massive love letter to their Nashville haven at the Virgin Hotel – fries, hash browns, rooftop sunsets and all.

  • EP #66 | 49 Winchester on Beard Roleplay, Halloween and being Trad Lovers in the Bedroom...
    Oct 16 2025

Welcome back to Girls In Low Places — the country music podcast that asks the questions only British girls would dare.

This week, Katie pulls her bar towel over her shoulder, sighs about her “regulars who never leave,” and pours a few too many pints for Virginia’s own 49 Winchester. What starts as a dive-bar therapy session turns into a full-blown Appalachian confessional — from creepy mountain myths and the Mothman to double-decker buses, fry-ups, and who in the band would die first in a horror movie.

The boys talk Leaving This Holler, homesickness, and the beauty of finding your tribe on the road, plus why British fans feel like long-lost Appalachian cousins. There’s a lot of laughter, and a lesson in how to drink through a fake beard.

Pour yourself something strong and pull up a stool — it’s a Girls In Low Places Lock In, and 49 Winchester arent leaving...
