About this listen
Raul Valle, now 20, was charged with murder and multiple counts of assault in connection with the death of 17-year-old Jimmy McGrath, a student at Fairfield College Preparatory School. Valle was 16 at the time of the incident.Police said the stabbing happened during a high school house party in Shelton on the night of May 14, 2022.According to investigators, tensions escalated after students from other schools arrived at the party. That led to a confrontation in which McGrath was stabbed and four others were injured.Valle, who turned down a plea deal in 2023 that would have carried a 40-year prison sentence, pleaded not guilty to the charges.Copyright Full Trial Audio
