About this listen

Have you spent years living in survival mode?

Does anxiety feel like your baseline?

Have you lived a life of people-pleasing, self-abandoning, and staying quiet just to keep the peace?

This podcast is an invitation to pause — and rebuild from awareness.

I’m Angie Marie, an Authenticity and Lifestyle Coach and creator of the SoulSet guided self-coaching app. I spent most of my life in survival mode, sacrificing my character and integrity for acceptance and love. I was deeply disconnected from myself and consumed by anxiety until I was forced out of a lifestyle and relationship rooted in narcissism and manipulation.

Like many women, I tried surface-level fixes — distractions, overworking, and focusing on the outside — still searching for validation and relief.

Everything changed when I surrendered to the hard work of healing. I began facing my past and understanding why I allowed what I once thought was normal. Through building awareness across all areas of my life, I found inner peace, rebuilt self-confidence, developed real self-love, and created a deep connection with God.

If you’re ready to reconnect with your true self, stop people-pleasing for validation, and build an identity rooted in confidence and self-love —

Grab your hot coffee, your fuzzy blanket, find a soft place to cozy in, and let’s get started.

    Mar 4 2026

Wisdom & Folly (Proverbs 9) | Breaking Cycles, Ego, and Emotional Maturity

Have you ever found yourself asking:

Why does this keep happening to me?
Why do I keep ending up in the same kind of relationship?
Why do I struggle with the same anxiety, the same financial stress, the same health habits year after year?

In this episode, we dive into Proverbs 9 and the powerful imagery of two women: Wisdom and Folly.

    Both are calling out.
    Both are inviting you.
But only one builds your life.

    We unpack:

    • Why repeating patterns is often a sign of survival mode
    • How ego protects outdated identities that are keeping you stuck
    • The difference between a limited mindset and a growth mindset
    • Why your nervous system prefers familiar discomfort over uncertain growth
    • How humility breaks cycles and builds confidence
    • What emotional maturity actually looks like in real life

Folly is loud. She justifies. She reacts. She protects your ego.

Wisdom is steady. She reflects. She invites responsibility. She builds slowly.

The direction of your life depends on which voice you entertain.

If you're ready to stop drifting toward comfort and start intentionally choosing growth, this episode will challenge you — and empower you.

    Journal Prompts from This Episode:

    • Where in my life am I repeating a pattern?
    • What excuses do I keep using that keep me stuck?
    • What am I avoiding that requires responsibility?
    • What disciplined step can I take this week?

SoulSet — my guided lifestyle and reflection app designed to help you break survival mode patterns in every area of health: physical, emotional, relational, financial, and spiritual.

  • EP. 43 | How Forgiveness Heals the Nervous System After Betrayal
    Feb 25 2026

Have you ever heard that the worst thing you can do to yourself is hate someone else?

In this episode, we explore how unforgiveness keeps you stuck in survival mode — and how forgiveness regulates your nervous system.

When you replay betrayal, manipulation, or narcissistic abuse in your mind, your body responds as if it’s happening again. Chronic stress, inflammation, hypervigilance, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion are often signs of nervous system dysregulation tied to unresolved resentment.

    Forgiveness is not weakness.
    It’s regulation.

    In this conversation, we cover:

    • The connection between forgiveness and nervous system healing
    • How chronic anger fuels stress and inflammation
    • Why holding resentment keeps you in fight-or-flight
    • A personal journal entry on releasing betrayal
    • A Christian perspective on grace and letting go of vengeance

    Scripture referenced:

    • Ephesians 4:31–32
    • Romans 12:19

    Forgiveness does not mean reconciliation.
It means releasing the emotional charge so your body can return to safety.

If you’re healing from betrayal, childhood wounds, people-pleasing, or emotional trauma — this episode will help you understand why letting go is about reclaiming your peace, your health, and your future.

  • Ep. 42 | From Survival Mode & Anxiety to Self-Love: Why This Podcast Changed
    Feb 18 2026

    Why did the podcast change?

In this episode, Angie Marie shares the story behind the rebrand and how the evolution of From Survival & Anxiety to Self-Love mirrors the healing journey itself.

If you’ve been living in survival mode, managing high-functioning anxiety, people pleasing, or quietly self-abandoning just to keep everything together — this conversation is for you.

    Angie opens up about:

    • Waiting almost a year to record her first episode
    • Launching before she felt ready
    • How messy action creates clarity
    • Why anxiety often comes from avoiding what you already know you need to do
    • How background anxiety turns into overwhelm and emotional exhaustion

This isn’t just a podcast facelift.

It’s a deeper focus on healing from anxiety, rebuilding confidence, and creating alignment through intentional daily habits.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, this episode will help you understand the root of that constant internal pressure — and what to do next.
