About this listen

Welcome to my recovery podcast From Darkness to Light Podcast. This podcast is all about helping people overcome the most negative situations in their lives, based upon negative people, wrong choices, and decisions, and following the rabbits down the rabbit hole to Wonderland a.k.a. negativity. When I think about this particular podcast, I think about Alice in Wonderland, and Alice followed the rabbit down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. And when Alice encountered the Mad Hatter and the queen of hearts, your co she realized how much she really truly was. And the Cheshire cat had to help her to get out of Wonderland. How God is The Cheshire cat when it comes to Trying to help us out when it comes to not going down the rabbit hole to Wonderland? To follow the rabbits down the rabbit hole in the first place? So we’re gonna be really dissecting the story of Alice in Wonderland and many other stories that read us when we were children’s stories were actually learning stories to teach us about the things that we go through when it comes to not only a childhood, but also adulthood that we shouldn’t have done. This podcast is all about helping people to overcome the darkness and negativity and their lives based upon the damage, impact, and affect that negativity based upon other people have done to your life. How to heal from the negative things that have been done to you by negative people? How to get out of Wonderland and to never to return to it? So, this podcast is all about helping people to recover from darkness, and negative situations that have caused you to hit Rockbottom, causing you to lose it all, causing you to be in a deep, dark depression, and anxiety, that has affected and impacted your finances, health, wellness, relationships, mental, psychological, and spiritual health. This podcast is going to probably hit home to a lot of people to the point where it’s really going to make you have to face a lot of demons, and past experiences that you have buried never to want to be reminded, or have to relive. But this podcast is all about healthy people to face the darkest, traumatic, abusive, and emotional old wounds that you thought you’d have to relive. But unfortunately, we have to relive these situations in order to learn from them, heal from them, grow, elevate, evolve, and mature from these situations. As well as repenting, forgiving, letting go of it, and moving forward. so I really really hope that people can really relate to this particular podcast, because it’s going to go very very deep into some of the most traumatic experiences that a lot of people have been through. Just know that you’re not alone in this. There are other people that are experiencing the same things as you. And if you were emailing me your stories that you would like for me to talk about, or any questions that you have that you want answers to when it comes to things that you are experiencing, please email me at Asha.Mariama01@gmail.com. you can also email me there when it comes to wanting one on one coaching as well. • Episode 27- Why Does Being Alone Mean Loneliness_
    Sep 30 2025
In this episode, we’re gonna be discussing why being alone has to automatically mean being lonely. Just because someone is alone does not mean that they are lonely, or miserable. Some people choose to be alone because they’ve been through so much trauma, and negative situations that has impacted and affected their lives in a negative manner to the point that they just don’t want to deal with anybody. Some people are alone because they are working on themselves, and building something without a bunch of naysayers, interfering or saying something negative about what they do. Some people are even just moving in silence, and not letting anybody know what they’re doing. Some people just want to enjoy their blessings, without other people bleaching, and sucking the life out of them for everything that they have. So today we’re gonna go into some of the reasons why people are truly and really alone. And it’s not for the reasons that you think.

  • Episode 28 - From Darkness To Light By Accepting Things For What They Are.
    Sep 27 2025
In this episode, I’m gonna be discussing how to go from darkness to light to accepting things for what they are and not what you want them to be. Or how you feel that things should, could, or would be. how people don’t have to care about your feelings, nor are they obligated to do anything for you even if you are the person they care about their feelings, and always doing things for them. A lot of people lower themselves to build, and take care of other people that will never reciprocate what you give them. And I’m not gonna lie to you. It is not easy to accept things for what they are when it comes to people. Nor can you change somebody’s freedom of choice and free will. People have the right to say no. People have the right to not do what you want them to do. And even though you are upset about it, there’s not really much you can do about it. So this episode is all about accepting that part of rejection and just trying to find another way. And understanding that if these people don’t do for you, what you do for them, or treat you the way that you treat them, then those are not people that you need to have in your life. This is gonna be an episode that’s gonna hit a lot of people very hard. But it’s one of the things unfortunately, I had to accept. But it was also the best thing that I could’ve done, because now I don’t really ask anybody for anything. I just do for myself. which is probably why a lot of people now are unavailable.

  • Episode 26- Letting Go Of Other People_s Version of You_
    Sep 5 2025
On this episode, I’m gonna be discussing how to let go of everybody else’s version of you. We’re gonna be talking about how to go about not being defined by the version of yourself that everybody else knows you as. The one thing about healing and recovery is that it’s all about letting go of the past versions of yourself as far as how you see yourself, and how other people see you. I’m not gonna lie and say that that’s not going to be easy to do, but at the same time it’s necessary in order to become the new version of yourself that you want to become. A lot of people only know you from the version of yourself that they remember you from, but not the version of yourself that you are now. And a lot of people will try to use that past version of you in order to use it as a weapon against you. So this episode is all about helping people to let go of their old version of themselves, and become the new version of themselves that they always want to be and become.
