About this listen

💛 Friendship is Medicine: A Lifeline for Suicide Prevention

Created in support of the Collie Suicide Prevention Network (SPN). Leigh Milne holistic focused psychologist.

In honour of World Friendship Day, this episode of Transcending Trauma is dedicated to one of the most underestimated yet powerful tools for suicide prevention: friendship.

We’re not just talking about likes, follows, or surface-level interactions — but deep, emotionally safe relationships that support healing, regulate the nervous system, and remind us that we’re not alone.

This message is shared proudly in support of the Collie Suicide Prevention Network (SPN) — a group of passionate volunteers and local agencies working together to reduce the impact of suicide in our community. The Collie SPN is dedicated to raising awareness, providing information, and coordinating meaningful activities and events that foster connection and make a real difference.

Because the truth is: connection saves lives.

📣 Spread the Message. Be the Friend. Save a Life.

This World Friendship Day, let’s remember: 💬 You don’t need a crowd — just one person who sees you is enough. Your care, your message, your presence could be someone’s reason to keep going.
