 Detta “la Cecchina”, Francesca Caccini è nata a Firenze nel 1587 ed è morta nel 1641. Clavicembalista e soprano, oltre che compositrice, è stata una fra le donne che più hanno contribuito all’evolversi della nascente musica barocca all’inizio del Seicento. È stata la prima donna a comporre un’opera in musica, riscoperta solo pochi decenni fa.
