About this listen

 Bisan Owda is a Palestinian journalist, activist, and filmmaker who has been documenting the war in Gaza, during which time she's lost friends, colleagues, and her home. Recently she was nominated for an Emmy for her short doumentary called It's Bisan from Gaza and I'm Still Alive. After this, a group of more than 150 people in the entertainment industry — including actors Selma Blair and Debra Messing, called for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) to rescind the nomination.
