When God—after years of waiting—sent His Son to be born in Bethlehem, He chose to deliver the news of the promised Messiah to those considered at the time to be society's lowliest people: shepherds. And much like they rejoiced greatly, we ought to as well, because the greatest gift of all—Jesus Christ—is for all the people!
