  • Leisel’s major injury, Scott Phillips on the budget + Iconic movie songs
    May 11 2026

Liam in charge of Question of the Day asks the team what job they would take in a small town. Cops, publicans, firies, psychologists and plenty more. Leisel is receiving no sympathy and she’s fed up - she wants people to appreciate how bad her ingrown toenail is & to give her the love and care she deserves. Spida and Liam don’t give her anything, so she takes to the phones and gets sympathy from the listeners. They are totally on her side. Financial guru and friend of the show, Scott Phillips, joins to break down the budget tonight and how to best enjoy the “grand final” of Australia’s financial calendar. Leisel has some questions about EV’s & Spida wants to know how anyone could suffer through watching it. Liam has a game for the other two about iconic songs in film. Chemical Brothers “Go” has exploded since the release of Apex and there are so many songs that immediately take you into a scene! Too bad Leisel and Spida are hopeless with movies!

  • Animal attacks, Alexa Leary out of Comm Games + Spida in trouble over 3 words
    May 11 2026

Producer George asks the team if they have heard the “Trifecta Food Theory” that classifies all foods as either a sandwich, salad or soup. The go down a bit of a culinary rabbit hole. They think steak is proof that the theory is incorrect. Liam and his son Mack got attacked by a blind pelican over the weekend & we hear from the Gold Coast about their best animal attack stories. Leisel then breaks down the news about Alexa Leary missing out on the Comm Games team due to her reclassification, what it means for Alexa and how it fits in the context of parasports. Liam thinks it opens a very obvious door for Alexa to be picked up as a broadcaster for the Games! Finally, having a lovely morning for Mother’s Day on Sunday, Spida’s world got turned upside down by 3 simple words when he and Sheree stopped in to a bottle-o. “Just the usual?” What a fool!

  • Happy Mother’s Day, Attenborough 100, Child of the Week + Hosed down at Bunnings
    May 8 2026

With Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday imminent, Spida asks what the world will be like when the team turns 100? Flying cars, augmented reality, space travel? With Mother’s Day on Sunday we hear from the listeners about mum’s important lessons. Attenborough also famously doesn’t have a driver’s licence & the team want to hear from other older non-drivers. Liam picks Mack, against all odds, as his Child of the Week due to his tuckshop order! + Leisel got filthy while turfing her yard and was visiting Bunnings an absolute mess, when an employee offered to hose her down in Bunnings. A service they offer or just an act of charity for someone who obviously needed it…
