About this listen
The 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory have promoted much dialogue over the past two years. Many states are proposing and passing legislation preventing divisive topics from being taught in school in response to these topics. As educators, it is their job to prepare their students for adulthood and the workforce. They cannot do their jobs effectively if they are constantly afraid of losing their jobs. Watch my conversation with Alex Murphy and Jenny Wheeler, law students from Duke University's First Amendment Clinic, to discuss the limitations of rights in schools.
