Dr. Deborah Billings is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Arnold School of Public Health, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Families in Society, and Faculty Affiliate in Women's and Gender Studies at the University of South Carolina as well as Adjunct Associate Professor at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina. She co-created Group Care Global to promote group-based health care for pregnant and parenting people. She works globally to impact contraceptive access, safe abortion, prevention of gender-based violence, and group-based prenatal and postpartum care. Dr. Billings has worked as a consultant with the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UNTF), and The Fund for Global Human Rights. One of her many passions is mentoring students at all levels.
