It’s the end of the year, and it’s the Christmas season! Filmshake is getting holly jolly and celebrating by covering…1990’sTales From the Darkside?! Hey, the weather outside is frightful, so we might as well talk this television-spinoff horror anthology, featuring Christian Slater versus a mummy, a hitman versus a murderous cat, and a starving artist who falls in love with…Tommy Chong’s daughter! Who needs a white Christmas when you can have one drenched in blood, cat drool, and pus?

We also talk 1990’s Two Evil Eyes because, ironically (in the literal, not Alanis Morissette sense), just ONE 1990 horror anthology isn’t enough for us. Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!

Wrong place, wrong time, same Filmshake! We're back and Dying Harder than ever, as we talk 1990's Die Hard 2. One of our host's AOL Instant Messenger handles in the 90's was "John McClane," so there might be a little bias here, Mr. Falcon!

We also talk our punishment film, 1990's punch and kick-fest, Bloodfist II. But AOL's John McClane doesn't find it a punishment at all! He inexplicably loves it! Ghost. Pretty Woman. Hardware. Robot Jox. When we set out to cover 1990 movies this year, we meant the big ones. We also meant Hardware and Robot Jox. Movies that made hundreds of millions of dollars. Movies that...didn't. Still, our main feature, Richard Stanley's Hardware, is more than worth watching. Not only does it feature a killer robot who leaves behind rivers of gore, but it features themes and cultural commentary that are strangely prescient. Then there's Robot Jox. People in spandex, controlling giant robots to determine the fate of nations. Robot Jox. When we say "Only on Filmshake," we mean "Only on Filmshake."
