About this listen

Today we had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Georgeta Ungureanu who is a 2 time Romanian National Road Cycling Champion. Georgeta was previously a swimmer and grew up as an athlete. At one point in her life she was so adventurous to pursue skydiving as a sport and hobby before moving to the United States.

After moving to the US Georgeta learned about road cycling through a friend and shortly thereafter tackled her first 200 mile endurance road ride. She fell in love with the sport there and has since moved to California where she found joy in racing and competition.

Georgeta has an entrepreneurial spirit and seeks to inspire young women in the sport through inclusivity and success. The growth of the sport in recent years excites her a great deal. We were happy to sit down and talk about all of these topics and more in this episode.

Georgeta is gearing up to hopefully be fit and competitive enough to make a run at the 2028 Olympics right here in Los Angeles, CA.

We hope that you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed the conversation.
