ऐसी मान्यता है कि 1770 में गुरु साहब बाबा नाम के एक संत ने यहां जीवित समाधि ली थी। कहा जाता है कि संत चमत्कारी थे और भूत-प्रेत को वश में कर लेते थे। बाबा की याद में हर साल यहाँ मेला लगता है। यहॉँ पर एक वृक्ष लगा है मान्यता है कि, पीड़ित लोग जब इस झंडे की परिक्रमा करते हैं, तो बुरी छाया समीप के बरगद पर जाकर बैठ जाती है।
