  • 167 ~ Christian Marriage Communication: 3 Steps to Oneness
    Mar 10 2026

Learn to communicate well in your Christian marriage and you will build a foundation of oneness, trust, and unity that your marriage was designed to have. Not giving communication the attention it deserves leads to accusations, arguments, and living as roommates under the same roof.

Let me ask you: Do you have those meaningful conversations where your husband shares his thoughts and ideas? Does he come to you with his latest aha moments or accomplishments? Are you able to freely share your ideas and concerns — and know you'll be heard and your opinion considered?

Or do your conversations feel a bit more surface-level, more like coordinating schedules and managing logistics than truly connecting? Do you find your husband hiding out in another room, seemingly avoiding conversations and making decisions without your input?

If you're longing for better communication and true oneness in your marriage, you're in the right place. Today, I'm walking you through a simple but powerful 3-step process for building communication and unity with your husband.

    Let's get started.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS:

    • How to become the wife your husband wants to talk to
    • Why making small decisions together builds a powerful foundation of trust
    • How to navigate important decisions and disagreements with grace and biblical wisdom

Listen now — and take the next step toward the oneness God designed for your marriage.

  • 166 ~ I Confess: My Battle with Pride in Marriage
    Mar 3 2026

In this vulnerable episode of Faith Lived Out, I confess my own battle with pride in marriage and how it nearly destroyed my joy, my relationship with my husband, and my witness to my children. If you've ever struggled with control, defensiveness, or feeling like you know better than your husband, you're not alone. I've been there, and I'm sharing my personal stories of how pride gripped my heart and the biblical path to Christ-like humility that transformed my Christian marriage.

To prepare for this episode, I gave my husband the very rare opportunity to tell me how my pride adversely affected our marriage. From this, I share of how I accused him of thinking I was "stupid" just because he disagreed and of a time when I let my prideful heart steal my joy with my grandkids.

Today, isn't just about teaching, it's my testimony. Listen now to hear how God transformed my prideful heart and discover hope for your own journey toward biblical humility in marriage.

    Let's get started.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • The 6 ways pride destroys marriage: How it leads to strife, pushes your husband away, hinders your prayers, tears down your home, sets a poor example for children, and damages trust
    • How to recognize pride in your own heart: Using Psalm 139:23-24 to invite God to search you and reveal prideful attitudes and selfish motives
    • The biblical path from pride to humility: Understanding that true humility is a work of God's Spirit—surrendering to God's ways and esteeming your husband above yourself
    • Practical steps for godly wives: Prioritizing God, communicating respectfully, choosing battles wisely, being submissive, praying fervently, taking thoughts captive, and living righteously

    • Scripture References:
