On October 22, 2014, Luis Bracamontes and his wife, Janelle Monroy, were heading for San Francisco, CA from Carson City, NV. After a stop in Vacaville, CA on October 23, 2014, their journey took them on an unexpected detour back to Sacramento with an urgent need to purchase drugs.

On the morning of October 24, 2014, Sacramento Sheriff Deputies Danny Oliver and Scott Brown awoke early to assist other officers with a search. Little did they know that a few innocuous decisions concerning their routine later that morning would put them on a collision course with evil.

CONTENT ADVISORY: This podcast contains intense recreations of violent criminal behavior that may trigger those who have had previous trauma and disturb those that have not. Strong and offensive language is used throughout the podcast as well. Listener discretion is advised.
