Faith Kayrooz, a Karingbal woman from Meanjin (Brisbane), is an award-winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer. Known as "a storyteller of the human heart and soul”, her lyrics showcase authenticity and maturity beyond her 21 years.Her latest single, “Johnny”, she wrote and produced, in addition to directing and editing the music video, is a semi-finalist in the 2025 Listen Up Songwriting Competition.I got the chance to speak to her about this release and representation in music!
