As an ambassador of Discovering Hands project, Dr Kamal Deep Peter explains how visually-impaired girls are being empowered to become Medical Tactile Examiners to become a part a breast cancer care teams in hospitals across India. The project is currently functional in the National Capital Region and Bengaluru at the moment. Dr Kamal speaks of how the girls are trained and the reluctance of oncologists and hospitals to accept them. Join me in understanding this beautiful approach at integrating specially-abled people into mainstream society, as a champion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
