The fictional show follows a psychotherapist moving through grief after his wife dies and leaves him the sole parent of his teenage daughter. It is of course a comedy show, but it brings up a lot of rich conversation surrounding ethical violations and boundaries within the therapeutic relationship (hint hint - he breaks a lot of his code of ethics!).
