About this listen

In the 11th episode of The Urban Village the ladies are talking about Equity and Inclusion. We are joined by writer, poet, and spoken word artist Gno Jonathan White for a conversation with our cohost Tamique Atkins, Jay Jay Reynolds, and our head mistress in charge- South Dallas Chief Hope Dealer herself- Shawana Carter. Gno tells us a little about his book, 101 Breakup Poems- a little laughter to break up the monotony. Some of the breakup poems can be used when breaking up with our employers.

We're taking a look at what equity means and what it looks like in 2022. This topic takes a look at what some of us are experiencing in our perspective workplaces and how that makes us feel. What is equity, how does it differ from inclusion? Why is it important that we have both equity and inclusion as an active part of our live experiences and in the workplace.

It's a fun and inclusive conversation; laugh a little with us- comedy this way- now press play
