Il termine epistocrazia, inteso come la distribuzione del potere a seconda della conoscenza, è un termine inventato dai moderni, ma ha come modello antico il pensiero di Platone. Platone infatti, nel suo dialogo la "Repubblica" scrive che ciò che può legittimare il potere è l'episteme, cioè la conoscenza. Come possiamo applicare questo pensiero al mondo contemporaneo? E a chi appartiene il potere nella democrazia?
