Dicembre. Adè domennica matina.
Io, comme sembre, me so arzatu présto.
Ngiavatto mbó per casa. Eppó me vesto,
e vaco a smuscinà llà la cucina.
Me piace un saccu a stamme dapermé,
quanno che quasci tutti dorme angóra.
Fòri adè scuro. Tira mbó de vòra.
E, indando, io me faccio lo caffè.
E, ogni òrda, me succede che lo dore,
più che dendro lu nasu ( che stranezza...)
me sfiora comme fosse 'na carezza,
eppó me bbocca llì, dendro lu còre.
Ccuscì, succede che la fandasia
fa la patrona e, prepotende, vola:
me sendo comme quanno javo a scòla
e a famme lo caffè era mamma mia.
Se cumingia a sindì quarghe rumore.
Lu paese se ccènne piano piano.
La pace fugghja, sembre più londano.
Nasce lu jornu e lu silenziu mòre.
