Dopo la partenza da Canton, Arturo Ferrarin e il suo motorista Capannini sono impegnati nelle tappe cinesi, accolti ogni volta da esaltanti festeggiamenti che durano giorni: Foowchow, Shanghai, Tsingtao, Pechino, Kow Pangtzu, Shingishu; e poi la Corea: Seoul e Taegu; infine il Giappone: Osaka e l'arrivo a Tokyo, il 31 maggio 1920.
Più aumentano i festeggiamenti, più il diario dell'aviatore thienese si dirada. "Stavo diventando l'idolo e la vittima della folla", scrive Ferrarin.
