De Predrag Mijatovic conocemos muchas cosas, como el gol de la Séptima o sus tres grandes temporadas en Valencia. Sin embargo, antes de todo eso, Pedja formó parte de la selección de Yugoslavia que ganó el Mundial Sub 20 en 1987 en Chile. Aquella gesta marcó su carrera de tal manera, que le unió para siempre con sus compañeros de equipo. La guerra que asoló los Balcanes en los años noventa desmembró aquella generación dorada, pero no pudo con la amistad.
