  • Race 5 – Miami - Miami International Autodrome – second race at this venue
  • Perez was on pole, Alonso second. Both Leclerc and Verstappen struggled and ended on 7th and 9th respectively
  • Red Bulls are quick – but Verstappen was quickest – wins from 9th – managed tyres well


Moto GP


  • French Race – Bagnaia on pole, Marques 2nd, Miller in 4th and Binder in 10th
  • French Race results discussed!


Football


  • Premier League - Arsenal still hanging in at 2nd – Manchester City continues to win, even with Champion League games mid-week. Looks like regulation for either (in ascending order), Southampton, Leicester (2015/16 Champions), Leeds or Everton
  • Haaland now has 36 Premier League Goals in 33 games – also 7 assists
  • Women’s UEFA Champions League – Final is on 3 June between Barcelona (2021) and Wolfsburg (2013/14 Champions)


Cricket


  • Proteas are in the World Cup as Ireland loses an ODI to Bangladesh. Teams already qualified are Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa
  • IPL – with 6 games to go, pressure on the Gujarat Titans as they lose their last game.


Tennis


  • Madrid Open – female doubles finalists speeches canceled
  • Madrid Open - #cakegate Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz
  • Rome Open – Not many fans in the stands apparently. Djokovic and Alacaraz top seeds and Swiatek and Sabalenka
  • French Open – 22 May - will Rafa play?


Rugby

  • Sevens Rugby – France tournament - Blitzboks' chances of automatic Olympic qualification after loss to Argentina.
  • United Rugby Championship – Stormers to host final against Munster on 27 May.
  • Super Rugby – Chiefs still at the top with Brumbies chasing five points back.
  • Rugby World Cup in France later this year – what sports betting is telling us about the favourites.
  • Springbok bosses yet to rule Kolisi out for the World Cup


Golf

  • LIV Disputes PGA of America CEO's Claims About World Ranking Application.
