About this listen

JMW Turner's famous painting of the Chichester Canal is on display in Chichester for the first time -- and in this episode of the Chichester Canalcast we've been to see it.  We'll hear from the Assistant Curator of the Pallant House Gallery, Lydia Miller, who explains how Turner came to paint the scene, and how he used some artistic licence to create his work. For more information about the exhibition, Sussex Landscapes: Chalk, Wood, and Water visit the Pallant House website. To contribute to the Chichester Ship Canal Trust's fundraising campaign, visit our Just Giving page. Produced and presented by Adam Porter.
