Feeling extra groovy tonight after Bad Bunny’s halftime performance and watching the Seahawks bring home another Lombardi trophy to the PNW. This week’s Sunday Vibes leans into that laid-back energy, blending soulful house with touches of disco. As a teenager, I had a deep fascination with disco that eventually evolved into my love for house music. I was born in 1979 — right as disco was fading and house music was being born. They say house music is disco’s revenge, and in many ways, that still feels true. So for this mix, I pulled in a few tracks I’ve been rinsing in my Solly’s Proper House series and during my sets at Proper at The Patron Saint (you can catch those on upcoming episodes of Mixcloud Essentials).
