Dustan was severely beaten and left for dead in the desert after taking a taxi ride to a place tourists are taken when they wander away from the hotel on their own. Dustan was thrown from a vehicle while knocked unconcious shattering his shoulder and left in the desert with no clothes, identification, or anything but severe wounds leaving him unable to walk and could only crawl to save himself.
