About this listen
Professor Roger Greenhalgh has been instrumental in defining when and how to treat aortic aneurysm disease, through decades of clinical trial research that has led that line of scientific inquiry. Such trials include the UK Small Aneurysms trial, EVAR 1, EVAR 2 and IMPROVE which together have formed the foundational evidence for clinical practice guidelines. This interview includes the back story of how they came to be, as well as exploring the world-famous Charing Cross Symposium, now in its 44th year, which has had to reinvent itself in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Roger also shares many wonderfully entertaining personal anecdotes in this most delightful interview.
