About this listen

On today's episode, we are in conversation with Rachel Lim - who started the online fashion business known as Love, Bonito at the age of 19. After borrowing her mum’s life savings during the financial crisis, she has managed to build the brand into a million-dollar fashion label.

Her main focus is marketing, branding and design - but she also oversees community building, content creation and customer service, all key areas to any e-commerce business. Rachel has redefined the fashion scene in Singapore and grew her $500 blog shop outfit into a multi-million dollar label. The brand remains the leading fashion label in Asia, designed specifically for modern Asian women, and has grown beyond Singapore to HK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Australia. Rachel was honoured by Forbes as Asia’s 30 under 30 in 2016.

In the episode, we get real about the journey she’s been through in growing one of the most notable fashion brands in the region over the last 14 years. We look at her strategic approach in the e-commerce space and her own personal growth strategies and key beliefs she’s had to develop in order to grow personally and professionally.
