Russ remembers his first drum teacher, and the man who really gave him the drumming bug, Mr. Phil Solomon.
Sadly, Phil left us in 2018 after a battle with Alzheimers but his spirit certainly lives on in all the people who he taught; his drumming family.
Luckily, Russ didn't attempt to tell any of Phil's jokes!
It's so important to have mentors in your life. Thank you for everything, Phil Solomon.
