In Episode 24 of "Live the Good Life", Host Aaron Diaz is joined by his friend John Paul LeCompte on the “Live the Good Life” Podcast. John Paul is a long time connoisseur of wine, and has a well developed and discriminating palate and sense of smell. He is the perfect guest today, as we delve into “Wine aromas and why people smell wines.” The objective here is to help people who are relatively new to wine, to better understand why people sniff their wine glasses, what their searching for and why they focus on wine aromas. We’ll try to dispel some myths about smelling wine and we’ll use basic layman’s terms to describe the world of wine aromas to you. By the end of today’s podcast, our hope is that you’ll feel much less intimidated, and much more comfortable enjoying the aromas from the wine in your glass. As you get better at identifying basic scents and aromas, your wine experience will elevate to new levels of enjoyment and you’ll learn a lot more about the wine you’re drinking as well.
