About this listen

Girl, the Barbie movie was so good. Hi! Hello, how are you? Have you ever been in an abandoned mall? Do you know the feeling you get at a bus stop or reststop in the dead of night? The smell of the wind on the first truely cool day of fall... It's happening baby. We are talking about liminal space!

Thresholds: The place or point of entering of begining. A boundary. A level, point, or value above which something is true or will take place and below which it is not or will not. The plank, stone, or piece of timber that lies under a door.

Sources:

The sources today are tricky because this is a topic I've studied from years from a variety of people, books, pods, movies, personal experience etc. And I drew mostly from my own knowledge. BUT that knowledge was given by sources that have blurred and overlapped in my mind. So instead of exact sources, this time I'm gonna include some links to more information about stuff.

A couple artists who focus portray decay or liminality in a facinating way: Dusy Ray, Lauren Marx

Aleksandra Waliszewska in an artist who's work has a lot to do with the unknown and inspires SUPER intense liminal space vibes

Hecate (Daughters of Hecate book on women and magic in the ancient world)

Hecate (Thesis on her role in subversive women)

Haven't read those two yet ^ but they look really good.

Hoodoo (Haus of Hoodoo)

Irish Folklore 1

Irish Folklore 2

Schollarly articles on New-Neural-Nets

I recorded this in June. I reference pride a few times and it's August so that might be confusing. But pride is all year amiright? ;)
