Dr. Kevin Lillehei grew up as the son of the most important pioneer of heart surgery. Every critical development in open heart surgery was inspired or invented by the elder Dr. Lillehei. Years later the torch was passed to the son. Dr. Lillehei has been a pioneer in the field of neuro-oncology. He has made it his life’s work to treat glioblastomas. Glioblastoma is the worst of brain tumors, but Dr. Lillehei approaches them with immunotherapy and an intentional focus on hope.
