About this listen
Episode 13 is about Naik Zakir Hussain, Sena Medal (Gallantry) (Posthumous), 22 Grenadiers, Indian Army. A moving story of a pious, faithful, sincere, straightforward and a simple soldier rising from the underprivileged mass of India to become a hero. The only soldier of his state from the battalion to be posthumously honoured by a Gallantry Award of India, for his unmatched bravery, will power and sacrifice for his nation, during The Kargil War of 1999. Coming from the Indian state of Haryana and like the film Mughal-E-Azam, Nk Zakir Hussain was indeed the pinnacle of glory. All gave some. Some gave all.
