About this listen

16 year old, Skylar Neese disappeared from her home on July 6th 2012. Skylar was expected at Wendy’s that day for her shift at 4 p.m. When Skylar’s dad came home that afternoon to give her his car so she could drive herself to work, he found her bedroom door locked and her room empty. Panic set in when they noticed she had snuck out the night before through her bedroom window. Security camera footage from the apartment building showed Skylar, running to a car, hoping in the back seat and than the car driving away. Because of the footage Skylar was mistaken for a runaway for days, leaving her family to try to find her themselves. Police eventually listen to the pleas of her parents saying Skylar would never run away and finally start to investigate. What they find is not only a betrayal but also a horrific and senseless murder.
