About this listen

This Episode is dedicated to the life and family of Jack K. who left this world on Wednesday, November 8th. He gave so much during military service, his life and his 67 years of sobriety. Rest in Peace dear friend. Welcome, everyone, to another episode of the Room 14 Recovery Podcast and today we have a special guest joining us. I met Kirk at my home group and really liked him right from the start. Believe it or not that was just a few months ago. He discovered he could drink just one but his thoughts were always consumed with THE NEXT ONE. He quoted the old adage “One is too many and 100 is not enough.” I messed up in the worst way on the “Lighting Round” and ran out of recording! Thanks Kirk, for being such a great sport. I’m still learning and make LOTS of mistakes so I really appreciate your understanding. I love bringing these stories to you and helping these great people to share their experiences in addiction and recovery! THANK YOU to all of the people that have listened and are supporting me in this journey. Wherever you listened to this show, please give us a rating and feel free to comment on this episode to help me get better delivering this program. If this story might relate to someone in your life, please refer it to them! Maybe it will help them ask for the help they need. I’m in Nebraska and the local Alcoholics Anonymous hotline is 1-877-792-1044. The national AA crisis line is 1-800-839-1686. Anyone who needs suicide or mental health-related crisis support, or who has a loved one in crisis, can connect with a trained counselor by calling, chatting, or texting 988. Live your life with joy and reach out for help! As always have a great day!
