About this listen

On this episode, our hosts are joined by their LEAD Maryland classmate Richard Francis -- known to most as Farm Chippy, Baltimore's cheerful and enthusiastic urban farmer. Chippy talks about how he went from growing up in the small island country of Trinidad and Tobago, to working in the healthcare industry to being one of urban agriculture's most vocal advocates in Maryland. Chippy's farm, Plantation Park Heights, is bringing a community together around food. In this episode, he talks about how he is bringing that vision to life in an otherwise impoverished community, and his reasons why.
