Nel mese di maggio allo Star-Club si trovava Gene Vincent, in tournée in Europa, mentre ascoltava i Beatles in mezzo al pubblico, diverse fotografie testimoniano la spontanea amicizia tra i Beatles e Gene Vincent, pioniere del rockabilly e del rock and roll, famoso per l’interpretazione di Be-Bop-A-Lula: il primo disco comprato da Paul McCartney.
