Un gruppo di operai della metropolitana di Roma, linea B, si accorgono che di notte, gli altoparlanti delle fermate trasmettono dei misteriosi messaggi audio. Ci sono anche numerose segnalazioni degli abitanti vicini alle fermate che, di notte, sentono quelle voci provenire dagli altoparlanti. La direzione ha indagato sulla faccenda ma i messaggi audio non risultano trasmessi dal computer centrale. Probabilmente un hacker ha bucato il circuito interno dei server. Ma perché? E di chi sono quelle voci? L'ufficio sicurezza decide di contattare il Cacciatore di Voci per risolvere il problema.
