 Baryallai ha lasciato il suo paese, l’Afghanistan, che era appena sedicenne. Da quel momento ha attraversato quattro stati via terra e percorso migliaia di chilometri per arrivare a Roma. Ha attraversato valichi alpini e confini recintati, ha passato due tratti di mare e ha visto i suoi compagni morire, in un viaggio lungo le antiche vie dei mercanti che collegavano l’Europa con l’Asia minore.
