Great production. Thoughtful presenters. Covered all angles and explained why they believe what they do logically and persuasively. The simulator reenactment of the trip was really evocative without being overly dramatic. Just made the point. Excellent series.

This podcast is an excellent analysis of the thinking behind the search for MH370. Bringing together arguably the most trusted and revered Australian journalist Jana Wendt and the man in the middle, Peter Waring. Captivating and factual all options are on the table from the plausible to the ridiculous (the guy from CNN is nuts). Get the real story of the search for Mh370 from those who lived it. Great podcast.

Great dive into the mystery of MH370

The captain even had a practice run. And having political puppets running the search was never going to work.

Enthralling podcast of an event I had previously only had a garbled knowledge of.

I totally agree with Peter’s final analysis and pray that Elon Musk or someone with similar disposable wealth will fund the next search.

Thank you Peter and Jana

Incredible that this story is even real.. the journalists are easy to listen to & articulate this sad story from a neutral stance with tenacity as well as empathy

Very long but tells the full story of what happened publicly, but then tells what most likely really happened. It doesn’t leave you hanging. Though the human stories of those left behind are heart wrenching. The search MUST be completed. It is likely the hold of the aircraft contains copious valuable cargo that could pay the further search costs. But that’s another story not covered here. I have read Capt Hardy’s analysis and find it the most credible believable and compelling. Excellent production and narration quality. Thank you Peter for bringing this to the world. First Class!!!

Most well researched and presented MH370 story

This series is an excellent analysis of the information available regarding this tragedy.
As a pilot, technically informed realist, and a media person, I’m impressed with the thorough nature of of this investigation. Answers? Maybe… plausible? Yes… within the bounds of known fact. Worth exploring further? There is a law of diminishing returns. I sympathise with the families of the lost. But that does not change the reality. Yes, it is possible to lose an aircraft on this planet, and not find it, particularly if efforts were made to conceal its actions? Absolutely. I’ve sailed in some of that ocean and it is vast, immense, and brutal. As far from civilisation/technology as possible today. Although we would like to believe that nowhere is out of reach of our systems this is not true. Big planet.
I think that there were human factors involved. I make no assumptions as to whom. But the data suggests too many actions that require human input. Whom and why? It is likely we will never know. Little respite for the families involved.
However, this story should be a motivation to the operators, regulators, and builders of aircraft that redundant systems that report position and status of aircraft should be secure from individual actions and publicly available. We almost have this already. Just needs a little more robustness and failsafe implementation.

We know that businesses and organisations will endeavour to cover up their mistakes, take shortcuts, seek cost savings, and lie to hide their greed. 737 max is the most obvious example. No one is beyond that potential scenario. No one is incorruptible.
I highly recommend this series to anyone interested in the story, but equally to anyone interested in the process of honest journalism and story telling, even if the outcome is not clear, or does not provide a nice answer that makes us feel good…. The truth matters.
Well done Jana and Peter. The Dr
