About this listen

Poverty is a pervasive problem in India, with more than a quarter of the population living below the poverty line. It is often caused by a lack of access to education, healthcare, and other essential services, and can be exacerbated by corruption. Corruption, in turn, can create barriers to accessing these services, making it more difficult for people to escape poverty. This creates a vicious cycle, in which poverty and corruption feed off of each other and perpetuate each other’s effects.
